Summary

Relay control networks can be defined by ladder diagrams. A large number of programmable controllers are similarly specified through ladder diagram specification languages. Automatic Timing & Controls' LDC-40 system uses pluggable hardware modules with ladder diagram symbols imprinted on top. Ladder diagrams are not effective for large control networks. (cbb 5/80)
