Summary

An outline presents the hierarchical structure of a paper or document. School children learn to write an outline before writing a paper.

A technical document can be developed and presented as an outline. An outline processor makes it easy to collapse and expand levels of the outline. An outline view is helpful for document navigation. (cbb 11/07)
