Summary

Hypertext can dynamically change according to a user profile and usage history. For example, if a user expresses interests in the tax consequences of a financial decision then non-tax material may be elided.

If hypertext presents a story, the story may change to maintain the readers interest.

Typically changes occur at choice points. Once readers make a choice, further material adjusts accordingly. (cbb 4/07)
